Connecting ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant

Add Edition House to your assistant, then sign in to Edition House when it asks. On the consent screen you choose which of your businesses the assistant may use and what it may do. Reading Google Analytics data starts switched off, and you turn it on only if you want to share it. The full list of what an assistant can read is in Connect an assistant.

• If the assistant says Edition House has no actions available, the sign-in did not finish. Open the plugin in your assistant's settings, choose Connect, and approve the consent screen again.
• If the assistant asks which business you mean, your connection covers more than one. Name the business or its website in your question.
• If a page shows a reason instead of a rank (not measured, not ranking, or targeting another market), that reason is the answer. It is not a rank of zero.

Disconnecting an assistant

In Edition House, open Settings → Account and find Connected assistants. Disconnecting stops that assistant at once for every business the connection covered. You can also remove the plugin inside the assistant itself.

What an assistant can and cannot do

• It reads your search performance, tracked pages, recommended improvements and compliance findings, and Google Analytics figures only if you allowed them.
• It can queue an article draft if you allowed drafting. A draft waits for a person to review it in Edition House. Nothing is ever published from an assistant.
• Compliance findings are advisory. Edition House is not a law firm, and a finding is a prompt to review, not legal advice.
