Terms of Service

Last updated: 19 September 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Edition House platform, website and related services (together, the "Service") operated by Edition House ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for it.

2. Description of Service

Edition House helps businesses review their marketing content for compliance and grow their search traffic. The Service includes:

  • Compliance review — we crawl the public pages of your website, and review LinkedIn posts and advertising copy you connect, against relevant regulatory frameworks to identify potential compliance issues.
  • Search performance and opportunities — with Google Search Console connected, we show your search visibility and rankings, and recommend pages to create or improve.
  • AI content drafting and improvement — we research, draft and improve content at your request, or on a schedule you set, and check factual claims before a draft is delivered.
  • AI assistant traffic — with Google Analytics connected, we show how many visits reach your website from AI assistants.
  • Delivery — we send drafts to the destination you choose, such as a WordPress site or a GitHub repository, according to the delivery settings you choose.
  • Google Ads review — where available, you can connect Google Ads so that we can review your ad copy and show performance reports.

We may change, add or remove features. We will tell you before we remove a feature that is central to your paid plan.

3. Accounts and Connected Services

You must give accurate information when you create an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.

You may connect third-party services, such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads, WordPress or GitHub. When you connect one, you authorise us to access it as described in our Privacy Policy to provide the Service. You confirm that you are entitled to grant that access. Our access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Ads and GitHub is read-only. For WordPress, we create drafts on your site. You can disconnect a service at any time in your settings.

Each organisation's data is isolated. You can access only the data of the organisations you belong to.

4. Your Content and Data

You keep all rights in the content you give us or that we access for you, including your website copy, advertising copy and connected-service data. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to access, store and process that content only to provide and improve the Service, as the Privacy Policy describes.

Content the Service drafts for you belongs to you once it is generated, subject to your payment of the applicable fees.

5. AI-Generated Content and Publication

The Service uses AI models to draft and change content. AI output can contain errors, including incorrect facts, figures, dates or regulatory statements. The Service checks factual claims and can hold a draft for your review, but these checks do not guarantee accuracy.

You decide what is published. If you choose delivery settings that send drafts to your destination without review, you accept responsibility for that content. You are responsible for reviewing content before it is published and for making sure that it is accurate and meets the rules that apply to your business.

6. Fees, Billing and Cancellation

Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period, through Stripe, at the price shown when you subscribe. Prices may be in pounds sterling or US dollars. Applicable taxes are added where the law requires them. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.

Where we offer a free trial, we ask for a payment method when you start it and we charge nothing during the trial. We email you before the trial ends. When it ends, your plan starts and we charge the price shown when you subscribed, unless you cancel first. You can cancel in your billing settings at any time during the trial, and you pay nothing. If you ask us to do more than the trial includes, we tell you what the charge is before it is made. A trial includes a limited allowance, which we state before you start it. One free trial is available for each business, each person and each website, and a business that has held a paid plan before does not get one.

You can cancel at any time in your billing settings. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and then it ends. Fees for a period that has started are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.

We may change our prices. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change applies to your subscription, and the new price takes effect from your next renewal. If payment fails, we may limit your account to read-only access until the payment is made.

7. Automated Changes to Connected Accounts

Except for creating drafts in a destination you connect, the Service does not change your connected accounts. If we add a feature that changes a connected account, it will be off until you turn it on, and we will keep a record of each change it makes. You are responsible for reviewing changes that you authorise the Service to make.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable regulation.
  • Connect a website, account or property that you are not authorised to connect.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the source code of the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Share your account credentials with unauthorised third parties.

9. Compliance Guidance Disclaimer

The compliance analysis and content the Service provides are for information only. They are not legal, regulatory or financial advice. We do not guarantee that our analysis identifies every compliance issue, or that following our recommendations makes your content compliant. You should consult qualified legal and compliance professionals before you rely on them.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, algorithms and documentation, is owned by Edition House and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks, logos or brand features.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent the law permits, Edition House is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue or data, arising from or in connection with your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time, as Section 6 describes. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if your use harms other users, us or third parties. When your access ends, your right to use the Service stops. You can ask us to delete your data as the Privacy Policy describes. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination continue to apply.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or with a notice in the Service before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after that date, you accept the updated Terms.
